The National Big Data Health Science Conference is a signature annual event of the Big Data Health Science Center (BDHSC). This 4th annual conference will include innovative plenary sessions, panels, and workshops that emphasize the role of interdisciplinary collaboration in Big Data applications and advancements in the health sciences.

Learn about current challenges and opportunities in Big Data health science from the perspective of academia, industry, government, and healthcare systems and participate in multidisciplinary sessions that will explore the future of Big Data health science research 

Network and connect with healthcare stakeholders at this multidisciplinary platform for the exchange of ideas and innovation for the future of Big Data in healthcare

A return to in-person

After two years of virtual conferences, we are excited to once again return to the in-person format in 2023.

Registration and Fees

Registration fees cover attendance to all sessions for the entirety of the two-day conference. In addition, cost of registration covers breakfast, lunch, and multiple coffee breaks/refreshments for both days of the conference.

Researcher/Professional* Rate: $125

Student/Trainee** Rate: $50

*This rate includes faculty from any college/university as well as industry representatives and other professionals

**Students and trainees include all enrolled students and post-doctoral fellows. Proof of student status will be required

Opportunities for Support

Volunteer

University of South Carolina undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to receive free registration if they commit to volunteering. Volunteers are needed to help run registration, serve as room monitors, help with traffic direction, create social media content, be poster monitors, etc.  This opportunity is on a first come, first served basis and time requirements apply.

Scholarship

To offset the cost of attendance, BDHSC will reimburse up to $250 in receipts associated with attending the conference. This opportunity is intended to provide monetary assistance to individuals in need of support and to increase the diversity and representation of our program. Special consideration is given to individuals presenting abstracts. A short application is required for this opportunity and the Conference Planning Committee will make awards at its discretion.
